The Kovacs Family is no stranger to living a healthier lifestlye. They find themselves going for the more hollistic aprroaches to health and wellness before seeking conventional care. Adam's Christmas Miracle

While Adam's mom was still pregnant with him, she was in a car accident that lead to his traumatic and early birth. Adam was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and doctors told his mom that his only hope was with brain surgery and a feeding tube. The surgery that Adam would need would forever imapct his ability to be a kid - to ride a bike, or jump on a trampoline. They also realized that his tongue was partially paralyzed from the brain damage and that he would only have 75-80% of his tongue movement for his whole life, which meant doctors told his mom that he'd likely be non-verbal.

Everything changed within a few visits at Proactive Health & Wellness when Adam stuck his tongue out for the first time after an adjustment, and then Adam's parents saw milestone after milestone being conquered with continued chiropractic care. On Christmas Day 2021, Adam was able to move his tongue on demand both in and out and side to side for the very first time - something they were told he would never be able to do! After evaluation...Adam's brain surgery was cancelled because he's walking, eating, talking and doing everything a "normal" kid would be expected to do!
